Samsung ML-2525W on Debian Bookworm
I’ve been able to get my Samsung ML-2525W printer to work under Debian Bookworm using the official Unified Linux Driver and also using SpliX, which is available in the Debian repositories. Both options work great and will give you a working printer and allow you to access more printer model specific settings. Samsung ULD HP acquired Samsung’s printer business in 2017, so you’ll need to download the ULD package from HP’s support site....

Cmus and Scrobbling
I recently made the switch to cmus for playing my music collection and have been very happy with it. It is quite fast and uses hardly any resources, but one of the first things I needed to accomplish was being able to scrobble my music to Libre.fm. I was a long time user of Last.fm, but I feel it has become too much of a monster (and a dying one at that), and this prompted me to switch to Libre....

Hello, World
So, I finally decided to get my blog back up and running. I’ve actually done this a few times, but I seemed to always get distracted with something else. Originally, I was running things from my home server using WordPress, but I decided to move things to a hosted server to make things easier and a little more secure. I’m also using Hugo for the site generation and it’s quite nice....
